A key player in motorsport presence in the Middle East, GP Extreme has also been involved in the Renault Sport Racing customer racing programmes for several years.
This collaboration first resulted in the support of drivers entered in the Renault Sport Trophy before the team campaigned Renault Sport R.S.01s in high-profile endurance races around the world. It will now be a major partner of the Formula Renault Eurocup.
Greatly involved in the support of young drivers in their careers, GP Extreme will deepen its links with Renault Sport Racing in supporting, from 2019, the Formula Renault Eurocup, a globally recognized programme for preparing the next generation of talents for the highest levels of motorsport.
GP Extreme will appear on the livery of all the cars entered in the Formula Renault Eurocup as well as on the driver racing suits and the category’s communication platforms. The joint actions in the Formula Renault Eurocup will culminate at the final race weekend of the season in Abu Dhabi, where GP Extreme’s local experience will be an asset for the Formula Renault Eurocup.
Benoît Nogier, Renault Sport Racing Commercial Racing Director: "We are thrilled to have GP Extreme among the partners of the Formula Renault Eurocup. We will be able to benefit from GP Extreme’s expertise in the Middle East in the organisation of our season finale at the Yas Marina circuit, while also exploring exciting initiatives together. Renault Sport Racing and GP Extreme already have a strong shared history and we look forward to doing great things together in the future."
Pierre-Brice Mena, GP Extreme Deputy Director: "We are very pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Renault Sport Racing through the Formula Renault Eurocup. This partnership ideally corresponds to our objective of supporting young talents. Formula Renault is an essential motor racing category and we are very proud to take part in the development of future champions."
