Thousands of star runners will be going the extra mile for charity in the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday thanks, in part, to Official Car Provider, Renault, which is providing a fleet of 29 vehicles to support the event.

Long-running supporters of the greatest marathon in the world, the French brand is renowned for its Passion for Life – just like those tackling the course on Sunday – and is proud to be supporting the event for the 23^rd consecutive year, as the total raised by the London Marathon for charity reaches an incredible £1 billion.

Renault’s fleet of passenger and commercial vehicles have already been on hand for the past week aiding organisers with the setup of the marathon, collecting world-class athletes and VIPs as they arrive in the UK and enabling the Race Director and team to scope out the course.

Renault’s fleet supporting the event includes Koleos SUV, Mégane family hatchback, Grand Scenic seven seat MPV, Kangoo van, Trafic mid-size van and Master large panel van. These can all be spotted along the course on Race Day as they drop off much-needed supplies at different points. The lead vehicles, four converted Renault Master vans fitted with official roof-mounted digital race clocks, go ahead of the elite races and also provide a fantastic vantage point for photographers covering the race.
