Carmarthenshire’s demanding Pembrey race circuit this weekend (Sat 14/Sun 15 October) hosts the penultimate rounds of Renault UK’s exciting new Clio Cup Junior championship and the two races could prove crucial in deciding who goes on to take the Champion’s prize valued at £18,000.

It was an emotional day at the Suzuka International Circuit as Renault Sport Formula One Team bid a fond farewell to driver Jolyon Palmer who drove a strong race, gaining six positions in the Japanese Grand Prix to finish twelfth at Suzuka. Nico Hülkenberg was also having a strong race – running as high as fifth - but was forced to retire when a component on his DRS mechanism failed.

Renault Sport Formula One Team endured a difficult race at the Malaysia Grand Prix with driver Nico Hülkenberg finishing sixteenth overall. After spinning his car twice during the race, teammate Jolyon Palmer finished fifteenth.

Renault Sport Formula One Team equalled its highest result of the year so far as Nico Hülkenberg brought the R.S.17 home in sixth position in today’s British Grand Prix.

• After poor qualifying results and a difficult start to the race, both drivers finished in the points with a seventh place for rookie Pierre Gasly and an eighth position for Nico Prost. 
• That means Renault e.dams is still leading the Teams' standings with 239 points while Séb Buemi, despite not being here, remains on top of the Drivers' Championship with a 20 points advantage over Lucas Di Grassi

Renault Sport Formula One Team’s Jolyon Palmer finished just half a second away from the points with his third eleventh place finish of the season in the Austrian Grand Prix whilst Nico Hülkenberg finished in P13 as a consequence of a poor start off the line.
