Groupe Renault UK has further boosted its press office team with the appointment of Callum Chamberlain to the new role of Product and Corporate Communications Manager for Dacia and Charlie Roper as its new Press Relations Coordinator.
The expansion of the press office is a key step in building on the strong sales success that Groupe Renault has had in the UK over the last few years. It is the first time the UK press team has had a role primarily dedicated to Dacia and forms part of the company’s ambitions to invest in further developing brand awareness in the UK.
Callum joins Groupe Renault UK after five years with a specialist automotive PR agency, where he was working on the marketing and communications strategies for a variety of automotive clients. In his role as Product and Corporate Communications Manager, Callum will be responsible for communicating about all things Dacia to the UK media.
Commenting on his new role, Callum said: "I am delighted to have been given this amazing opportunity to help grow the Dacia brand and highlight the quality and value of its cars to an even bigger audience. What Groupe Renault has done with the Dacia is very impressive and I’m excited to join the team at an important time in its development.”
Charlie joins the team having come from a fast-paced entertainment PR agency, where he was working with a range of high profile clients, whilst organising and supporting press events. In his role as Press Relations Coordinator, Charlie will be assisting with the organisation of press events and communications as well as supporting the running of the press fleet.
Charlie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Groupe Renault UK Press Office at an exciting and busy time for both Renault and Dacia. I look forward to working with the team to provide the UK media with what they need and to meeting them on events in the months to come.”
Jeremy Townsend, Communications Director, Groupe Renault UK & Ireland commented: “It’s great to have Callum and Charlie on board and they will help us to further support communications and events on both the Renault and Dacia brands. It’s a very busy time for Groupe Renault with a host of model updates for Dacia, the UK launch of All-New Renault Koleos this summer and the return of the Alpine brand and many other new things to come in 2018 and beyond.”
